Growing up as a third-generation Indo-European was the starting point of this project. I delved into my family history and explored the technique of batik as a way to narrate my story. This canvas serves as a time capsule for my descendants, conveying my family history through a blend of traditional batik and modern illustration. It also serves as a topic of conversation in line with current discussions on postcolonialism and identity.
